Matching t-shirts make an event: staff are easy to find, volunteers feel part of the team and guests take a souvenir home. This guide shows which Fruit of the Loom tee to choose, how many to order, how far ahead to plan and what an event shirt really costs per guest, blank and printed.
For most events the best shirt is the Fruit of the Loom Valueweight T (approx. 165 g/m², 100 % cotton, XS–XXXL). The cheapest verified place to buy it without a trade account is Marmalade Co.: €6.95 per shirt, or €40.95 for a 10-pack, which is approx. €4.10 per guest for 100 blanks (roughly €410 in 10-packs, before a bulk quote), with free DHL pickup-point delivery from €80. Printing adds approx. €2–5 per shirt. Order the blanks 3–4 weeks before the event.
Event shirts have a short, intense life: they are handed out on the day, worn in the sun or the rain, washed a few times and then become a souvenir. That means three things matter more than anything else: a low price per piece, a full size range so nobody is left out, and a fabric that takes a print cleanly. The classic Fruit of the Loom tees tick all three, which is why they are a standard blank for runs, fundraisers, company days, weddings, conferences and festival crews across Europe.
| Model (code) | Weight / fabric | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Valueweight T (61-036) | approx. 165 g/m², 100 % cotton, no side seams | The safe all-rounder: staff, volunteers, runs, company events |
| Original T (61-082) | approx. 145 g/m², 100 % cotton | Large giveaways and hot summer festivals |
| Heavy Cotton T (61-212) | approx. 195 g/m², 100 % cotton | Merch people should keep wearing for years |
| Valueweight Long Sleeve T (61-038) | approx. 165 g/m², 100 % cotton | Autumn and evening events, crew tops |
| Valueweight vest / tank top | lightweight cotton | Sports days and summer runs |
If you are unsure, choose the Valueweight T. It is the model sold in the most colours (16 at Marmalade Co., XS–XXXL), it is thick enough that white does not look sheer, and it prints well with screen print, DTF and vinyl. Our guide to blank t-shirts for printing compares the models in more depth.
The most common mistake is ordering exactly one shirt per name on the list. People sign up late, sizes get swapped and a print can go wrong. A simple rule of thumb from event organisers:
For a mixed adult group, M and L usually make up the largest share. Ask people for their size when they register and check the chest widths in our Fruit of the Loom size guide — the classic tees are a regular unisex fit.

For 100 guests that works out at approx. €4.10 per blank shirt in 10-packs (roughly €410), delivered free to a pickup point. For 250 pieces, ask Marmalade Co. for a personal quote — it answers within 24 hours on weekdays. Use the calculator for your exact headcount:
Choose a product and quantity — the estimate combines the shop's pack prices (1, 3, 5 and 10 pcs) and adds DHL pickup-point delivery (€6, free from €80). Need more than 10? Marmalade Co. also makes personal quotes.
The print usually costs about as much as the shirt itself, or more. These are typical net prices from public price lists of European print shops for 100 shirts (checked September 2026); your printer's quote will vary with colours, size and placement:
| Option | Decoration for 100 pcs | Total for 100 | Per guest |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blank only (10 × 10-pack) | — | approx. €410 | approx. €4.10 |
| Screen print, 1 colour | approx. €200 | approx. €610 | approx. €6.10 |
| Screen print, 3 colours | approx. €500 | approx. €910 | approx. €9.10 |
| DTF transfer, full colour | approx. €450 | approx. €860 | approx. €8.60 |
Screen printing gets cheaper per piece the more you order, because the set-up cost is shared. For small runs under approx. 30 shirts or many different names and numbers, DTF or vinyl is usually cheaper. Our guide to printing on Fruit of the Loom explains the techniques, and what 100 Fruit of the Loom t-shirts cost has the full breakdown.
Work backwards from the event date. The blanks are the quick part: Marmalade Co. dispatches within 0–1 business day and DHL delivers in approx. 2–3 business days. The print shop is usually the bottleneck, especially in spring and early summer when every club and festival orders at once.
Ask your printer for their current lead time before you promise a date — and add a buffer for proof changes.

Shop Fruit of the Loom at Marmalade Co. →The Fruit of the Loom Valueweight T is one of the cheapest good-quality event shirts. At Marmalade Co. it costs €6.95, with pack prices of €22.95 for 5 and €40.95 for 10, so 100 blank shirts come to roughly €410 in 10-packs, or approx. €4.10 per guest, with free delivery to a DHL pickup point. For larger orders the shop makes a personal quote within 24 hours on weekdays. VAT is included.
Plan for approx. 5–10 % extra, mostly in sizes M, L and XL. Spares cover late sign-ups, size swaps and the odd misprint. For giveaways, start smaller than you think: printed shirts cannot be returned, and a reorder of the same Fruit of the Loom model will match the first batch in cut and colour.
Start four to six weeks before the event with the design and a print quote, and order the blanks three to four weeks before. Blanks from Marmalade Co. are dispatched within 0–1 business day and arrive in approx. 2–3 business days, so the print shop's lead time is usually what decides your schedule, especially in spring.
For 50 or more shirts with a one- or two-colour logo, screen printing is usually cheapest per piece because the set-up cost is shared, at approx. €2 per shirt for 100 pieces in one colour. For small runs, full-colour designs or individual names, DTF transfer or vinyl is often cheaper and needs no set-up.
Yes. At Marmalade Co. pack prices count all sizes and colours of the same product together. So 20 Valueweight T-shirts in five sizes and two colours still count as two 10-packs, and DHL delivery to a pickup point is free from €80 (home delivery €7) to 11 EU countries.
